From early on, I was was exposed to things like fine art, handmade jewelry, crochet, embroidery, drawing and craftsmanship. Anyone who knows me knows that I have never been wanting for art supplies.
I work largely with pattern and color and texture, because it gives me a sense of control in a chaotic world.
It's important to me to change up mediums, because it keeps my hands strong and my mind active. There are no shortcuts to anything that I do. While I'm working I think a lot about the passage of time, because it is my time that I am giving to a piece, whether it takes me a couple of hours or four months.
Perhaps in that sense, my work is autobiographical.

More than twenty years of experience working on different stuff for different people in a freelance capacity.
My work experience also includes a twelve year career in Higher Education with progressive leadership roles as a chairperson and instructor.
Because I am the only person on the planet with my name, if you google it there is array of stuff that comes up. Nothing too scathing so far.
