SMALL WORKS use a variety of techniques and materials before applying them to the bigger pieces. They are an important part of the concept development process.

Grouping four small works was to test the application of gold leaf and to use hand embossing. The result gives the gold leaf a satin finish. The various colours used range from bright to somber. These pieces may hang as a grouping or individually.

This work was originally not intended to be a finished piece. There are various experiments that were performed over a period of time from the colour combination, to the first time hand embossing to using dry folding to create dimensional interest.

This single piece called, "Pink Frame" includes hand embossing where 23K Gold Leaf is applied. This gives the gold a softer satin finish and warms the rest of the palette. This piece may be displayed as a square or in a diamond configuration.
